Per Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, December 22. The Govan bye-election resulted in Mr Holmes, the Liberal candidate polling 7508 votes, and Mr Balfour 66—. Figures at the last general election were:—W. Hunter (L) 8409, G. Balfour (U) 6369 j Liberal majority, 2040.
