THE PROGRAMME OF THE CEREMONIES.
A WEEK'S PAGEANTRY. The King and Queen, during their 10 days' stay at Delhi, will carry out the following engagements. Their only free day is Sunday. Arriving on the morning of December 7 (Thursday), the King Emperor and his Consort will make a State entry into the city, and in the afternoon will receive formal visits from the chiefs. The reniainder of the programme may be set out as follows:^— ' December B.—Visits from chiefs in the morning; lay foundation stone of King Edward Memorial in the afternoon. December 9.-^ Visits from chiefs in the morning; witness polo semv-Lnals in the afternoon; large dini.er party in the evening. December 10 (Sunday).—Free. December 11.—Presentation of colou -s on polo ground, which is «i»nte near the King, 'Emperor's camp. :.-, in the morning; witness poio . finals in the afternoon.' ' : j December 12.—Durbar. State dinner ! and reception in the evening. December 13.—Reception of -Volunteer officers and native officers in the morning; garden party' an<l fete in the afternoon, and^ large dinner party in the evening; December 14.—Review of troops; investiture in the evening. December 15. —Review of police on the polo ground in the morning; mili-! tary tournament and point-to-point races in the afternoon. December 16.—Departure of their Majesties, the King leaving for his shooting trip in Nepal, and the Queen for a series of private visits. i
