WELCOME TO THE KING.
, CALCUTTA, December 8. The "Viceroy, Governor, Executive Council, and natives welcomed their Majesties at Delhi station. Troops lined the procession route ~to Delhi fort, where the chiefs received their Majesties. Then a State entry was made through the Delhi Gate, the King riding alone on a bay charger, and the Queen in her. State carriage/ The procession circled, Jumamsjid, thence proceeding .to Chandmchowk, : Guns kept booming throughout the day i At tne pavilion on the 'ridge, Mr G. L. Jenkins,^ on behalf- of 200 representatives of British India, presented the King and Queen with an address Before their Majesties entered the camp. The King replied amid tumultous enthusiasm, paying tributes to the valued Experience of members of the Legislative Council of British India chosen representatives.
