j Per Press Association. I CHRISTCHURCH, May 25,, A fire occurred at midnight last night in an unoccupied four-roomed wooden dwellinghouse at 31, Travel's. Street, Linwood. The brigade turned out promptly, but the fire had obtained a firm hold before an alarm was given, and the building was practically gutted. The house was owned by Miss Jane Harper, of Hanmer Street, Linwood, and was insured for £200 in the Standard Office. It had been unoeeupied for about three weeks.
