A Guardian reporter, who was present at the breaking-up, spent a short time m looking over, under the guid- | ar.ee of one of the Sisters, the work done by the pupils during the year. The exhibits, which attracted much attention, are arranged with care and taste m three rooms, each bearing the name of the pupil responsible for its production. Ta"ken as a whole, the display—which ranges from paintings (landscape and- Nature studies), fancy and plain needlework, etc., wood-carv-ing (chip and relief), to cartonwork by the infant department—is most attractive, and testifies very effectively to the value of the school, and to the completeness of its curriculum, which includes all those subjects which bear so strongly on the culture of the mind and "the cultivation of character.
