BURNSIDE STOCK MARKET.
DTJNEDIN, June:23. Sheep.—ls22 were yarded, the hulk of the yarding consisting of ewes. Very few fine wethers were forward, but there were a good number of medium weights. "Wethers all round showed an increase of from Is to Is 6d on last week's prices. Quotations: Best wethers 16s to 17s 3d, medium 14s to 15s 6d, light 9s, to 11s 6d, best ewes 12s to 13s 9d, extra quality los, medium to good 9s to 10s. Lambs.—l3oo were forward and prices were much the same as last week. Quotations: Best lambs 13s to 14s 6d, medium 9s to 11s, inferior 7s 6d to 8s 9d, . h Cattle.—2sß were yarded. Th'i'S'.was a large yarding, but the quality was only medium. Prices for prime bullocks were equal to last week, and medium weights were easier, Quotations: Best bullocks £10 to £11, extra quality to £12 ss, medium £8 10s to £9 ss, inferior £6 15s to £7 10s, best cows and heifers £6 10s to £7 10s, extra £8 , medium £5 10s to £6 and inferior £4 5s to £5. Pigs.—About .90 were penned. Suckers made 10s 6d to 13s, slips 14s 6d to 18s 6d, stores 22s 6d to 27s 6d, porkers 35s to 395, light baconers 43s to 50s and heavy 55s to 61s.
