DUNEMN, February 24. I At tho Police Court this morning, Mr Widdowson, S.M., gave judgment m the case m which '.Robert McMillan was charged with a breach of the Shops and Offices Act. The defendant is a storekeeper and holds a bottle license. and on the half holiday .sold a bottle of beer, contending that lie- had a right to do so. The Magistrate held that there was nothing m the Licensing Act to protect, or exempt, a storekeeper from the provision of the Shops and Offices Act. As. it was a test case,-a conviction only was recorded, and tho defendant ordered to pay costs,
