BABIES TIED HAND AND FOOT.

MELBOURNE, February 3. , An inquest into the deaths of five babies a tthe premises of a registered nurse revealed a shocking story of cruelty and neglect. The little ones were tied hand and foot to prevent them throwing the bedclothes off, and the surroundings were dirty. The Coroner thought the evidence was not sufficient to commit the nurse for manslaughter, but he jioped that she could be punished for cruelty.
