Aug.; ,9. The^'Maglswdte to^fayr imposed a fine of £50 and costs., against the licensee of the Albion Hotel On a charge of permitting drunkenness. Being the first case, so far,as he was aware, in which a question was raised as to the right of a licensee to permit a lodger, while in a state of intoxication to be in a public portion of licensed' premises, the Magistrate ,jefrained.from ordering the conviction to he endorsed on the license.
