Beelin, Nov 20 The Munich papers publish a remarkable conversation which the Kaiser held with DrGanghofer, the German novelist. In this the Kaiser avowed himself an ardent optimist, and said that he intended to remain one. He was, he said, so confident of Germany's future, that he was worried over the prevalent dejection regarding the Empire; bat he intended himself to work on without being disheartened, " and," he added, " I believe lam making actual progress." He said that he was aware that he was dubbed the Beis-Kaiser, meaning the travelling Emperor ; nut his serious calling rendered frequent change neaessary, and doubly so, when compelled to fight so many misunderstandings. "My position," he said, "is a thankless one; if I succeed, the world asks f Who advised him to do that ? ' If I fail, people say I know nothing about it." He coDoluded : " I am always seeking the good of the German Empire and nation."
