Accidents and Fatalities.

United Press Association— By Bleotrio Telegraph Auckland, Nov. 12 A tramway accident, with a fatal termination, occurred m Symonds Street on Sunday. Mrs Alice Taylor, wife of Mr W. Taylor, manager for Kempthorne, Prosser and Co., is alleged to have jumped from a moving tramcar, thereby sustaining fatal injuries. She was picked up unconscious. A doctor was quickly m attendance. The skull was fractured, and concussion of the brain followed. Deceased was removed to j a private hospital, but she lingered only a short time, and expired without having regained consciousness. H. Fenton and W. McCabe fell from a platform, the latter dropping 20 feet to the ground. Both sustained rather serious injuries. Men employed at; the Parnell railway tunnel found a sugar bag containing the dead body of a female child, wrapped m a shirt. So far there is no cine to the 1 parentage. Later. At an inquest on the body of the female ohild found at Parnell tunnel, the medical evidence showed it to be that of a well formed female child, which had breathed and had probably lived an hour. Death was attributed by the dootor to want of attention at birth, and to subsequent exposure. The jury returned a verdiot of manslaughter against some person or persons unknown.
