Fires on Wool Ships.

United Press Association, by Eleofcrio Telegraph Gisbobni, Nov 8 Messrs Common Shelton and Co., of Qisborne, have received the following on fires on wool ships from their London agents .— " We took the matt#r up with the well* known chemist for the Royal Agricultural Society (Dr Y. A. Volcker) and submitted two samples of damaged wool and one of undamaged. Both the damaged lots had been treated with lime. Dr Volcker sayt that he believes the whole trouble is due to the treatment the wools undergo. With the lime process they are tamed out too quickly and not thoroughly dry."
