An Extraordinary Occurrence.

Sydney, Nov 8 An extraordinary occurrence happened at Kogarah to a telephone line repairer named Wilaon. He was working at the top of a pole amidst a network of wires outiide the Post Office, when by some means a can of parafine which he was using burst into flames, and enveloped him, He became entangled in the wires, and hung up by the feet three minutes, and then fell through the network of wires, miraculously catching the bottom wire. He held on till a ladder was hoisted, and got halfway dowa and then fell heavily. His clothes were burnt ot, and there is not a vestige of hair on his body. He is still alive, and in the hospital. The fire destroyed the pole, and disorganised the telephone service.
