The Governor.
OFFICIAL VISIT TO INVERCARGILL,
United Press Association—-Per Electric Telegraph. Invercaugill, Jan. 31 'His Exeellenoy, Lord Plunker, had a busy time to-day. He hold ale vee m the forenoon, at which one hundred were presented ;in the afternoon, accompanied by the Mayor, Councillors, and Parliamentary representatives, and an escort of mounted rifles, he made a tour of 25 mile 3 m the eastern district, visiting Eakahouka, the homestead of the Fleming family; thence to the Charitable Aid Board's home for indigent at Lome Farm, and back to town. To-night j Lord Plunket is the guesfc at a convereazione, at which there is a large concourse. The weather, though cloudy is fine, and likely to be so for the laying of the foundation stone of the town hall to-morrow. His Excellency will also visit the public institutions, and leave for Chriatefrurch i° the evening. ___________
