Burglary at Newton
A GOOD HAUL,
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph. Auckland Jan. 31 Burglars secured a good haul at the dcapery establishment of Mr J. Bendell, Newton. Entrance was effected by one of the side doors, skeleton keys being used. The burglars then ransacked the till and the secret fireproof safe. The latter contained £50, which the burglars secured. It is thought that the burglars were familiar with the premises', as to get at the secret safe, which was built principally as a safeguard against the ravages of fire, it was necessary to lift part of the flooring.
