Canterbury Lawn Tennis Championships.

The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Championship meeting will be commenced on Monday on the Domain Courts. Very large entries have been received, and some firstclass exponents of the game will take part in the various contests. Among others Misses Nunneiley, nnd Powdrell, and Messrs H. A. Parker, F. M. B. Fisher, and Lycett, are specially worthy of mention. The admirers of tennis are legion, and they -vill have the opportunity on MoDday and the following days of witnessing some capital exhibitions of skill and some close and exciting struggles. A large number of visitors are coming from Christchurch and elsewhere to take part in the tournament, and a* the weather indications are fairly settled at present, there is every prospect of the championship meeting being a pronounced success.
