London, Dec. 23 The Westralian Agent-General, in a letter to the " Times," reminds Sir Frank Swettenham that a large portion of Australias gross revenue is earned at great cost, especially by railways. If Swettenham's proposed scheme be adopted, Australasians will pay 30s per head and Canadians 10s. Including tho naval subsidy, Australia expended a million annually in defences.
