DIXON, Secretary, Asliburton Borough Council "YfOTICE is hereby given that, at a _131 Special Meeting of the above Council, held on the 15th day of February, instant, a resolution was adopted making a Speoial Order repealing that part of No. 125 of the By-Laws of the Borough of Aahburton relating to the fees to be paid for a License to hold any Circus, and enacting a new By-Law, No. 125 a, fixing the fee tor a License to hold any Circus at .£5 for one day of 24 hours, and £1 for each successive day during which such Circus shall be held. The said resolution will be submitted for i confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the ' Council to be held at its Chambers, Haveloclr Street, on the 14th day of March, 1904, at 7.30 p.m. A copy of the proposed new By-Law is deposited at the Council's Offices, Havelosk Sfcieet, and will be open to public inspection every day during office hours up to 14th March. Ashburton, 17th February, 1904. 2 166 Ashburton Borough Council NOTICE is hereby given, that at a Special Meeting of the above Council, held on the 15th day of February, instant, a resolution was adopted making a Special Order, a3 follows :— " That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," more especially Section 239 thereof, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Ashburton Borough Council doth hereby stop that portion of Tancred Street West, within the Borough of Ashburtou, bounded on the south-east by Winter Street for 100 links, on the north-east by Reserve No. 1825, for 829.9 links; and on the north-west by the Road along the Riverbed Terrace for 175.3 links, and on the south-west by Reserve No. 3360, for 686 links, containing 3 roods 01.27 perches, and as more particularly described on the Flan deposited at the Stipendiary Magistrate's Court, in pursuance of the 7th Schedule of the aforesaid Act, and coloured green thereon." The above resolution will be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the Council, to be held at its Chambers, Havelock Street, on tie 14th day of March, 1904, at 7.30 p.m. By Order* H.
