St Patrick's Spokts.—The programme drawn up for the sports meeting t© be held on March 17th under the auspic«s of the Ashburton St. Patrick's Sports Association provides for a really first-class day's recreation. Substantial prize money is offered, and Mr George Sutherland and other " cracks " will take part in the racing. Attention has also been given to foot racing, while it has been decided to conduct the meeting on strict sporting lines and in the interests of spectators. Pressure ia also being brought to bear upon the Domain Board to seonre several much needed alterations to the track, which will be appreciated by both competitors and the visiting public, and lessen the risks of accidents,
