Dunedin, Feb. 21 At the Burnside market 135 head of cattle were yarded, ranging from medium to prime. Competition was keen and prices obtained, especially for prime, showed an advance of from 10s to los per head over last week. Best bullocks JEIO 10s to ill 1 17s 6tl, extra heavy £12 10s, good to best £8 10s to £9 10s, light and medium M 15s to £7 153. Best cots £1 10a to ,£9, medium to good £5 I7i 6i to £Q 17s 6d, light and a. Ed £4 los to £5 10s. Suw-p—1738 were penned, chiefly medium to good ewes. There was good competition for prim- wethers, at last week's rates, but the demand for ewes not exactly prime was less pronounced. Best crossbred wethers V.-is Cd Cm 2:s6J, good to best 17s Gd to IS a Gd, light 15s fid to 16s 6d. Best ewes 163 0d to 16s 6d, extra heavy pens IDs 3d, medium 15s to 16s 6d, light 12s 6d to 14s 6d. La M 8?.—689 were penned. Both exporters aud the trade were buying, but wish one or two exceptions prices were about the s^me as Issfc week, ordii ary being 1 nver. Best 12/j to 13s 64^ex<ra heavy 14s to 15s 06, medium to good Qs 6 I to 10s Gd. Pica.—Bß were penned aud met with a fair demand. Suckers 11s to 15s, slips lfs to 21s, stores 22* to 263.. porkers 253 to 36?, baooners 42s to 575.
