The Preferential Trade Act.

Wellington. Feb. 24,
Acting on the representations of Measr3 Aitken and Duthie, M.H.R's'the Minister of Customs has deoided to accept certificates under section 8 of the Preferential Trade Act, signed by the agent, representative or attorney, who ships oc clears the goods at the port of export. This ret'era to the signing of the certificate that the goods are of British manufacture, and the point has caused some anxiety to importers.
