Press Association—By Electric Telegraph. Christchcbch, December 4. Mr E. Prendergast, warder at Lyttelton gaol, dropped dead in Chrisfcchuroh to-day, while on his way to see a doctor. He was about fifty-five years of age, and leaves a widow and family of seven.
