WEDDING.

Hawke—Wills.

A very pretty wedding was celebrated afc Lowcliffe on Tuesday last, the contracting parties being Mr George Hawke and Miss Elizabeth Wills. The bride was attended by four bridesmaids -the Misses Mabel and Harriet Wills and Lucy and Laura Hawko. The bridegroom had Mr W. Wills, junr., as beat man. The Rev. J. Blackburne was the osciating minister. The bride was tastefully dressed in silver grey trimmed with deep cream coloured lace, with orange blossoms and veil, and she carried a lovely bouquet of chrysanthemums and streamers. A larKe number of guests had been invited, who immediately after the ceremony drove to the residence of the bride's patents, where a tasteful dejeuner had been prepared, and did full jastice to the fare so libera ly provided by: fcheir hogt and hostess. Speeches were then the order of the day, the Rev J Blackburne proposing " The Queen," Mr S. S Chapman " The bride and bridegroom," and Mr Withell "The host and hostesß." A most enjoyab'e game of cricket was played by the gentlemsn afterwards, and other games by the ladies occupied the afternoon Dancing followed in the evening, and was heartily kept up till the small hours of the morning, everybody having spent a moßt enjoyatle fcime.
