London, May 13 The Bank of England rate of discount has bee a reduced a half per cent., and ii now quoted at 2 per cen,t. .
Messrs Balgety and C» Limited, bavt received the following cablegram from their head office, dated London, 13th mat. j—
•'Wool —Sales continue firm with an upward tendency. Price* are nearly on a par with closing rates of last series, except* iog for wools suitable for America."
- Nafiek, May 13 Messrs Nelson Bxos. received the following cable message from their London office to-day :— " Quotations — Best Canterbury 3f d, Dunedin 31 d, Napier and North Island 3d."
