POLITICAL. Melbourne, April 27. In the Legislative Assembly last night the salary of the next Governor of the colony was reduced to £7000 ; the honorarium of members of the Assembly to £250 ; the salaries of Ministers of the Crown by 20 per cent. ; and of Judges and high officials by 15 per cent. iMAIL SERVICES. . The Government have finally refused to contribute to the Vancouver mail service, and also refused to grant a subsidy to a small steam service to the New Hebrides, but have decided to approach the New South Wales Government, with a view to resuming the monthly service which was recently suspended.
