HOSTESSES FROM PIONEER CLUB
Hostesses at the Y.M.C.A. tea for soldiers -.yesterday were members of the Pioneer Club, with Miss Isaacs as convener. The chairman of the tea was Mr. R. 11. Nimmo, and associated with him were Miss Amy Kane/ president of the Pioneer Club, and Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Meek. i The lettuces which appeared on the menu were grown and donated by land girls of the W.W.S.A., at East-
bourne. Items were as follows:— Songs, Mrs. Wilfred Andrews, Sergeant R. Sloan: elocutionary items,''-Mrs. Anne Lane. The accompanists were Mrs A. Ginn and Miss Finlay. Mr. H. Kindle'- led the community singing, with Mr. J. Mann at the piano. The usual one minute’s silence was observed, for men serving overseas.
