The official citation states: “Dm ■tight in June. 1941,' Sergeant G. E Moore was real gunner of an aircraft which attacked a target at Benghazi During the run up, the aircraft was en gaged by three Italian fighters, one of vhich was shot down and the other ,wo driven off by determined and ar curate shooting by Sergeant Moore Altogether, this airman has completed 10 operational flights and lias at all times displayed great courage and a high standard of gunnery
Sergeant G. E. Moore, who wa* edu call'd in Australia, was employed in Wellington at the time of his enlist meat. His next-of-kin is Mr. G. E. Moure. 12 Tryon Road, Lindfield. New. South Wales.
