A tribute to the work of the Army Costal Service is contained in a re cent issue of the “N.Z.E.F. Times,” official publication in the Middle East of the 2nd N.Z.E.F., which' states that, in spite of enormous difficulties, only six bags of mail failed, to reach their destination during the Greek campaign. while ip Crete the loss was contim'd to a single bag. It is recorded that the last that was seen of one member of the service was when he was delivering mail to men who were waiting on the beach to be evacuated to Egypt.
