The units, which form the c Second Mounted Rifle Brigade, are the Queen Alexandra’s Own and the Wellington-East Coast Mounted Rifles. The men of the former unit came from as far north as New Plymouth, and for the latter from the Gisborne. Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa districts. The Second Mobile Veterinary Unit is also in the camp. In charge of the brigade is Colonel W. R. Foley, M.C.. and Major J. F. B. Stevenson, M.C., is brigade major. Major L. D. Hickford is the staff officer. At present there are about 100 horses in the camp, and if is expected that shortly about 1550 horses will be avail able for the use of the men. At the moment the men are engaged in elementary training preparatory to the., brigade manoeuvres. "• Over the orderly room of each unit flies the unit's flag.
