FIGHTING SERVICES
BALL for ALL
NEXT SATURDAY c Sponsored by the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association and organised by Miss Phyllis Bates, the Fighting Services’ “Ball For All” promises to tax the capacity of the Wellington Town Hall with a recordbreaking attendance on next Saturday night. Don’t miss it! It isn’t just a dance which you can go to any Saturday night, but a real ball with all the “trimmings” and a band which will make you want to dance even if you have just come in from a tenmile route march. Yes, it will be something to write home to mother about. And remember to ask your civilian friends along, but tell them they must observe the dress rules—evening dress. for. girls, dark lounge suit (or dinner jacket) for men. Proceeds go to support the Fighting Services Queen Sister Molly Mahoney, Sister-in-Charge Trentham Camp Hospital—in the forthcoming Victory Queen Carnival campaign for patriotic funds. • After the ball is overthere'will be special late transport for Trentham (train leaving Wellington 12.15 a.m.), Rongotai and Seatoun.
