Thee, and to trust m Thee, and at last bring us to Thy Home m Heaven, which Thou hast prepared for those that love Thee — through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 4. FOR SICK AND POOR AND * DYING. 0 Merciful Saviour, who when on earth, didst give help and healing to all who came to Thee; we commend to Thy Pity and Protection the sick, the poor and homeless, the desolate and broken-hearted. Heal them, feed them, shield and comfort them. Help us to bear the burdens of others and to do our part m all works of mercy, for Thy Sake, who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Amen. 5. FOR FRIENDSHIP. , O Lord Jesus Christ, who hast called Thy disciples not servants, but friends. Bind together the children of this Parish m a holy and lasting friendship, give them the Spirit of true comradeship m which lies strength and happiness that the friendships begun here may be continued hereafter. Grant that they may go through

life always loving arid helping others m health or m sickness, m happiness or m sorrow. For Thy sake who sharest all Thy children's joys and griefs. Amen. FOR UNITY. 0 Almighty God, Who hast built Thy Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner storfe: Grant that, by the operation of Thy Holy Spirit, all Christians may be so joined together m unity of mind, and m ttie bond of peace, that they may be an holy temple acceptable unto Thee: And especially to the part of Thy Church to which we belong, give the abundance of. Thy grace; that with one heart we may desire the prosperity of Thy holy Apostolic Church, arid with one mouth may profess the faith once delivered to the Saints. Defend us from the sins of heresy and schism; let not the foot of pride come nigh to hurt us nor the hand of the ungodly to cast us down: And grant that the course of this world may be so peaceably ordered by Thy goverance that Thy Church may joyfully serve Thee m all godly quietness; that so we may

walk iri ; the way of truth and peace, and at last be numbered with Thy saints m glory everlasting; through Thy merits, 0 blessed Jesus, Thou gracious Bishop and Shepherd of pur souls, Who art with the Father and the Holy Ghost one God, world without end. ; IT ,: .-..■ ■■- Remember, Lord, the land m which we dwell, and every city and country and the faithful who inhabit them. Remember, Lord, them that voyage and travel, that are sick, that are laboring, that are m prison and those that are persecuted for righteousness sake. Remember, 0 Lord, our Christian brethren of the Eastern Orthodox Churches who suffer under the tyranny of oppressors, especially m Russia and m Turkey, and all , anywhere who are persecuted and oppressed. Grant to them courage to confess Thy Name, to defend the cause of Thy Church even unto death with steadfast endurance and unquenchable faith; and to all who die for Thee give, we beseech Thee, the Crown of victory through Him who endured the cross for us despising the shame and is now set at Thy Right Hand on high. , .
