HE WAHINE TOA.
(Na Tipi-Whenua.) HURIA MATENGA. He wahine rangatira a Huria, he mokopuna na Te Puaho, he tangata rongo-nui ano hoki a Wi Parata (Te Kakakura) raua ko tona teina ko Hemi Matenga. He whare nui to raua, kotahi tekau rga ruma, he hawini pakeha o raua, ko nga ritenga o te whare he tikanga pakeha katoa ; nga wahi o waho he pai katoa, te marae, nga kaari, nga wai, me nga tepara hoiho me nga paki ano he kainga no tetahi pakeha rangatira kaore he mea i ngaro atu.
Ko Kerehi Taringi he wahine toa no Ingarangi, he tamahine na tetahi tangata kai tiaki ote whare-raiti. I pakaru tetahi kaipuke nui, a na Kerehi Taringi raua ko tana papa ka ora nga tangata o taua kaipuke. E tino whakamanamana ana ahau mo nga toanga o te Maori, i kitea ai he i\vi toa taua, he iwi rangatira.
