OBITUARY

MR. E. J. DENNEHY, WELLINGTON. The hews of the death of Mr. Edmond James Dennehy, which occurred at his residence, Coromandel street, on October 18, came as a sad surprise to his numerous friends. The late Mr. Dennehy was of a genial kindly nature that endeared him to many friends in the various centres of New Zealand where his lot was cast. The funeral was attended by the representatives of several leading business firms in Wellington, where he filled the position of commercial traveller for Messrs Laery and Co., and also by friends from both islands. A Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Anne's Church, Newtown, by the Ven. Archdeacon Devoy. He leaves a widow and two children to mourn their loss.— R.I.P.
