MISSING.
Waverley.- -Since 13th ultimo, Frederick Matthews, age about thirty-five, height 5 ft. 8 in., engine-driver, medium build, fair complexion, dark hair, very large prominent eyes, straggley moustache only whioh sticks straight out, was wearing blue-dungaree trousers, dark coat, vest, and cap. He was employed as engine-driver for J. W. Rutherford, flaxmiller, at Waverley, and has not been seen since above date. He left all his belongings at Waverley. He is said to have previously worked at flax-mills in Foxton and Rangitikei districts, and spoke of going to Palmerston North during the holidays.
South Dunedin.— Since 15th ultimo, David Stevenson Sharp, age sixteen, tall for age, native of England, slim build, dark complexion and hair, heavy black eyebrows, full face, rather full lips, 7 stone weight, ddep voice, plays the piano, and sings well; dressed in dark-grey suit with light stripe, dark-green cap, tan-canvas shoes, soft shirt with collar attached. May seek employment as steward on a steamer. He arrived from England about eight weeks ago, and cleared away after stealing £5 from his father. Inquiry by his parents, who-atfe anxious as to his whereabouts. 9% ■ ■ If)! 4~5T
