Paddington (Sydney).— A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Thomas McGirr for disobeying an order for the support of his child. Description : Age about thirtythree, /Ehight 5 ft. 6 ft., mediipn. build, dark comp/fexjfon, /blhp hair, rfipustaohA only, erect arm bent but hardly noticeable; generally well dressed; a shearer and bookmaker. He is supposed to have come to Wanganui, New Zealand, about September, 1908. His arrest is not desired if he pays £4l 17s. 6d. and cost of transmission. (09/2678.)
Brisbane. —lnquiry requested for Ellen Ryan (may go by the name of Farrington), age thirty-three, height 5 ft. 2 in., sallow complexion, brown hair, dark eyes, mark on neck, native of Ireland. She left Queensland with a man named Michael Farrington, and is supposed to be living with him, and to have been in Auckland about two rponths ago. He is about fifty years of age, a bricklayer or brickmaker, dark complexion and eyes, hair turning grey. They are supposed to have her two children with them, Norah and Andrew Lawrence Ryan, eight and five years old. Inquiry lsf the father of the Thomas Ryan, who wishes to recover them. (09/2151.) Jp J ( o j Jf D England. —A warrant has been issued 1 at Ellesmere, Shropshire, for the arrest of Herbert Walter Insull, for embezzling on the 2nd November, 1909, £SOO, the money of his employers. Description: Age twenty-nine, height about 5 ft. 11 in., dark-brown hair rather long on top, darkbrown eyes (slightly weak), wears pince-nez, pale complexion, auctioneers’ clerk, smart athletic build, good, address, was formerly employed as school-teacher, has a sister in New
Zealand. He may be joined by his wife, age about twentysix, 5 ft. 6 in. high, pale complexion, fair hair inclined to sandy ; dresses well; good appearance ; has a boy age four, and two girls age eighteen months and two months respectively. If traced, a wire to be forwarded to the Commissioner’s Office before arrest. A reward of £2O is offered for information leading to his apprehension. (10/18.)
England. formerly a ship’s steward, no description given, probably an elderly man. He is said to have been paid off from the ship “ Genic,” at Melbourne, some years ago, and subsequently went into business somewhere in New Zealand. Inquiry by his daughter, Elizabeth Palmer, Kelbourn, London. If located, information to be sent to Inspector of Police, Wellington.
England. —lnquiry requested for John Wright Bowron, age twenty-nine, height about 5 ft. 6 in., provision-mer-chant, native of London, slight build. He left Liverpool by the s.s. “ Morayshire” on 2nd February, 1907, for Wellington, and was working for John Saxon, farmer, Levin, and left there in May last for Christchurch. Mr. Bowron (of Bowron Bros., merchants, Christchurch) is a cousin, but has seen nothing of him since ,his arrival in New Zealand. Photograph filed in the Commissioner’s Office, Wellington. (09/2552.)
