Stolen Bicycles
Attention is directed to the notice in Police Gazette, 1902, page 29. In describing bicycles it should be stated whether they are ladies’ or gentlemen’s.
Stolen Watches
In describing watches it should be stated whether they are open-faced, hunting, double-cased, or half-hunting, the term “ double-cased ” being reserved for those watches whose case, is removed in order to wind, “half-hunting” implying a very small glass in the metal cover of the dial. [Note. — These instructions are published at page 1 of each year’s Gazette, but are very often disregarded, the term “ doublecased ” being frequently used instead of “ hunting.”
