llelensyille. —T. and H. J. Little report stolen from a railway-truck, on the 6th or 7th ultimo, two 701 b. bags of No. 2 colonial sugar, bags branded L over H ; value £llss.

Devonport (Auckland). —William Kinsey, Wainui, reports stolen from the shipping-store at Wade, between the Ist and 16th April last, a bag of mixed grass-seed, bag marked “ 3 acres, W. Kinsey” over W, in black paint ; value £1 18s.

Auckland.— Elizabeth Maclaurin reports stolen from the Free Public Library, on the 27th ultimo, a ladies’ black cloak, neck and sleeves (wide) trimmed with black plush, black-bone buttons, some missing; value £2 10s. Identifiable.

Auckland. —Anne Ooulson, Nelson Street, reports stolen from a clothes-line, on the 7th or Bth ultimo, two white petticoats, open worked, marked MB; one ditto, “B. Sinclair ; ” a pink ditto with open work at bottom, a print underskirt with thistle in cluster, two plain white ditto, and a white dress-skirt with needlework in front; value £4.

Sydney. —Homy Charles Taylor, purser, s.s. “Tarawera,” reports stolen from a drawer in his cabin, shortly before leaving tbe Margaret Street Wharf, Sydney, for Auckland, on the sth ultimo, two canvas bags containing £IOO in sovereigns and £lO in silver; tho property of the Union Steamship Company. Identifiable.

Wellington. —Ah Quin, care of Sun Yung Lee, Lower Hutt, reports stolen from his vegetable-cart, on the 21st ultimo, a brown melton-cloth overcoat, bone buttons, slightly torn.on one'side ; value £2 10s. Identifiable.

Masterton. —W T illiam Douglas reports stolen from his stable, between the 16th and 18th ultimo, a gentlemen’s saddle, lining worn through at back part of seat, small hole near pommel; crupper, martingale, broken at loop and ends put into buckle ; and an old bridle ; value £2 7s. 6d. Identifiable.

Grey mouth. —Heley and Taylor report stolen from their shop, during April last, a roll (50 yards) of flake flannel; value £5. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —Thomas Jeffery Parker, curator, reports stolen from the Museum, King Street, about the 9th ultimo, a small glass jar containing specimens of the katipo or poisonous spider. Identification doubtful. Of no intrinsic value.

Kurow. —Mrs. E. W. Parker, Little Roderick, reports stolen from the Hakateramea ßail way-siding, between the 6th and 12tli ultimo, six bags of Newcastle coal; value 15s.

Clinton. —Joseph Newman, Spanish Restaurant, Dunedin, reports stolen from the Clinton Railway-station, on the 27th April last, a sack containing a tent-fly, two empty flour-bags (501 b.), dark-tweed trousers and vest, regatta shirt, two half-woollen ditto, drawers, flannel, three pairs worsted socks, one pair merino ditto, If yards white flannel, razor, shaving-brush, hair-brush and comb, scissors, two vests, grey-and-dark rug, cashmere scarf, shcpherd’s-plaid ditto, collars, handkerchiefs, odds and ends, and £8 10s.; total value £6 10s. Identifiable, except cash.

Reefton. —John George Heslop, Church Street, reports stolen from oft a section, on the 28th April last, a white double blanket, red stripe round the sides; value £1 15s. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to John Crowley, a boy now working at J. Gilmer’s farm, Waitahu.

Christchurch. James Cochrane, St. Albans, reports stolen at the post-office, Christchurch, on the 9th ultimo, a boys’ new dark-brown corduroy jacket, trousers to match, and pair of lace-up boots ; value £1 ss. 6d.

Milton.— James Robertson, farmer, reports stolen from off his horse in the White Horse Hotel stables, on tho 22nd ultimo, a colonial-made saddle, piece of raw hide sewn under each flap, and a martiugale, both half-worn; value £3 10s. Identifiable.

Hastings.— Philip Wirth reports stolen from his circus, on the 19th or 20th ultimo, a Mexican saddle, much worn, horn in front, covered with green-hide, large wooden stirrups; value £B. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Jack Hubbard, alias “Yankee Jack,” sft. 7in. or Sin. high, very dark complexion, dark moustache only, stout build, buspoct was discharged from tho circus at Hastings, was seen at Te Auto, on the 21st, proceeding towards Masterton, and then carried a swag containing a saddle. He was accompanied by a man about sft. Bin. high, twenty to twenty-two years of age, slight build, fair complexion and moustache only. They will probably seek employment at horse-breaking. pfiPj)
