Horse- and Cattle-Stealing.
Supposed stolen on the 24th ultimo, from Fcilding, a bay gelding, hack-breed, four years old, 14 hands high, a white mark under neck, branded AO on near shoulder, shod all round, broken to harness; the property of John Crooke ; value £6. Identifiable.
Stolen between the 20th and 29th December last, from Somerton, near Rakaia, forty-five two-tooth unshorn wetheis, branded 3, and a small round hole punched in ears ; the property of E. S. Coster ; value 10s. 6d. each. Identifiable.

The bay gelding, the property of John Higgins, supposed stolen from a paddock at Waitangi, near Clive, has been recovered ; not stolen.
Stolen about the 4th ultimo, from Waihi Plains, Tauranga District, a large white bullock, about Bewt. ; a red bullock with some white hairs through the red, very long hollow back, about 9cwt.; a strawberry heifer, very fat, about 7cwt. ; a strawberry heifer, about scwt., had a bell and chain round neck; a rough strawberry steer, in fair condition, had a bell and chain round neck; a red Hereford steer, with white face, aboutßcwt. ; and a Hereford heifer, red, with white face, about 6cwt.; all branded MK on off side of rump, and a straight slit in one ear of each ; tlio property of William Kinsella; value £4 each. Identifiable.
Stolen between the lOtli and 27th ultimo, from Bowentown, Katikati, a dark-bay gelding with white face, the white is narrow between the eyes and broad at the nose, one of hind fetlocks white, aged, 14 hands high, branded HN on off shoulder; and a dark-bay gelding, aged, 14 hands high, a white spot on each side under saddle, branded TM reversed on near shoulder ; the property of Paora Mattiu ; value £4 each. Identifiable.
Supposed stolen on the 29th or 30th ultimo, from a paddock at Turakina, a chestnut gelding, hack-breed, five years
old, 16 hands high, Roman nose, off hind fetlock white, branded 2 on near shoulder, newly shod ; the property' of James Kean ; value £l6. Identifiable.
Stolen about the 4th ultimo, from Cabbage-tree Swamp, Waihi Plains, Tauranga District, a fat strawberry steer, one horn turned up and the other turned down, branded TG on off side of rump; the property of Thomas Gregory; value £4. Identifiable.
