Deserters from Her Majesty’s Service.
Alexander Deans is charged with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “Raven,” at Sydney, on the 21st ultimo. Description: A native of Polloekshaws, Scotland, a stoker, thirty-five years of age, 5 feet inches high, fair complexion, brown hair, and blue eyes. A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.
(See Police Gazette, 1883, page 165.) Frederick Bull, charged with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Miranda,” at Sydney, has been arrested by Constable Patrick Leahy Harnett, Jolinsonville Police.
