BUTTER AND MARGARINE.
The photograph on the next page, forwarded by the New Zealand Dairy-produce Inspector, London, Mr W. Wright, shows . a window display of . margarine ard New Zealand butter at a high-class provision establishment in Liverpool. Mr. Wright accompanies the photo with the following remarks : ■ . “ The photograph is of more than passing interest because it illustrates the close proximity of margarine to butter in the provision trade. It. will be seen that although one full window space is allotted to butter, the, next window is equally well filled with a tastefully arranged display of margarine. The picture will convey to dairy-farmers in New Zealand the keenness of competition between margarine and butter in the provision trade to-day. ... ■ Incidentally this photograph is of further interest as demonstrating the retail sale of New Zealand butter under its own name in an English provincial city..
