LONDON WOOL - SALES.
The High Commissioner cabled under date sth May regarding the closing of the third series of London wool-sales, as follows j The wool-sales closed with a brisk' demand, a strong market, and favourable prospects. . The high : prices are very likely to continue. The slight decline at the opening sales was only temporary. Estimated values now are : Fine crossbreds, is. 9d. to is. io|d. ;■ medium • crossbreds, is. 6d. to is. Bd. ; coarse crossbreds, is. 4d. to is. 6d. ; superior merino, is. Bd. to is. lod. ; medium merino, is. 4d. to is. yd. ; inferior merino, is. id. to is. 3d. 4,600 bales of New Zealand wool were held over. . ■
