NEW ZEALAND CROQUET COUNCIL.
FORTHCOMING DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP.
In accordance with the wishes of several clubs, the following modifications have been made in the programme for the Dominion championships to be held at Christchurch on January 4 and following days: — Event I. —Dominion Championship. The entrance fee is to be 10s. (instead of 205.).
Event II. —Remain as at present on programme.
Event 111. —Dominion Doubles. Entrance- fee is reduced to 5-s. each plaver, and “a partnership may consist of either a lady and gentleman, or two ladies; but not two gentlemen.”
Event IV. —Remain as on programme.
The Waikato District Association is now well established, .with Mr. Jolly, of Hamilton, as hon. secretary. This is considered to be more central than Rotorua, but the thanks of players are due to Mr. Manson and Mr. McDowell, of that town, for their enthusiasm in setting the Waikato house in order.
