NORTHERN WAIROA RACING CLUB.
SUMMER MEETING.
With the New Year racing fixtures now over, the Northern Wairoa Racing Club’s summer meeting, which is to be held on Saturday next, January 6, on the Awakino course, Dargaville, will engage the attention of northern enthusiasts. The Northern Wairoa Cup Handicap, of lOOsovs., one mile and a-half, is the principal race on the programme, and with a number of well-known performers from Auckland engaged, a keen contest is anticipated. The acc ■ptances are of a satisfactory nature, indicating that there will be plenty of good material on hand to ensure some spirited racing. The train and steamer arrangements will enable Auckland racegoers to make the trip to and from Dargaville at. a minimum loss of time, and the meeting offers a strong inducement to turf enthusiasts to avail themselves of the opportunity of a pleasurable week-end.
