LOW SCORING AT DEVONPORT.

Ponsonby led off against North Shore on the Devonport ground, but failed to do much. Four wickets fell for 22, but Gallaher (31) and Young (37) made a much-needed stand, which materially helped matters, as the last four wickets only added six runs. North Shore’s start was not too good, as four wickets were down when time was called, with 55 runs on the slate, Woodward compiling 28.
