CITY DO BADLY AGAINST EDEN.
On the Eden ground City batted first, and but for the good stand by Hemus and R. Neill, would have fared very badly indeed. As it was the score only reached, 87 towards which Neill contributed 29 and Hemus 25. Stemson was the destructive agent, taking eight wickets for 26 runs. When time was called Eden had made 81 for six wickets, Taylor contributing 25 and Brook-Smith 18.
