June 22. Golf. On Saturday the members of the lardies’ < lub played a handicap bogey match over the short-course. There were more competitors and some good score- were handed in. tin. Tuesday the medal round was played instead of on Thursday, this day being given up to practice. A team, of ladies from the Wanganui < lub were expected on Friday to try conclusions with our local players, ■but the trip lias been postponed to a later date. Personal. Airs. Homes. Ashburton, is staving with Air.-. Snodgrass. Bank of New Zealand. Airs. G. Robjohus has gone to Christchurch for a holiday. Air.. Airs., and Miss Pollen left for Christchurch on Wednesday morning, where Air. Pollen has been appointed Commissioner of Crown Lands. Airs, and Aliss St. Hill, of I’orangahau, are in town for a few days. Air. Airs, and the Misses Johnstone, of Motuotaraia. are in town for the Hastings races. Air. and Mrs. Owen Monekton, Waipawa. are staying in Napier. Air- and Airs. F. Armstrong, of Akiteo, are in town for the races. Air. and Mrs. S. Sanderson, of Glentoss. who have la-en staying with Mrs. T. Clarke. 'Hedgelev. returned home on Wednesdav.
