October 28. A Celebrity Party . ■Mrs. J. Waldegrave, Broad-street, gave a “celebrity party’’ on last Tuesday. The guest of honour was Miss Margaret Waldegrave, who leaves for England next Wednesday, where she will be married to Mr. George Keen. Miss Doris’* Robinson won the first prize, Mrs. and Miss Warburton tieing for the second, which was finally won by Miss Warburton. The tea-table was prettily arranged with scarlet ribbons and flowers of the same shade. Mrs. J. Waldegrave received her guests in a dainty frock of white -muslin and lace; Mrs. C. E. Waldegrave, ‘a black and white striped silk voile toilette, with black lace trimming, cream hat with cream roses; Miss Margaret Waldegrave, a pretty frock of pale blue, large grey hat. lined with pale blue and trimmed with mixed coloured grasses; Miss Dorothy Waldegrave, champagne crepe de chine, large black hat; Mrs. 11. R. Waldegrave, black mourning costume; Mrs. Warburton, mauve coat and skirt, hat ■with mauve wings; Miss Warburton, ■blue voile, with touch of old rose on bodice, hat with shaded roses; Mrs. Randolph, black braided coat land skirt, black ostrich feather boa, black bat; Mrs F. S. Mcßae, mauve froek with silk trimming of same shade, mauve hat; Mrs. Louisson, amethyst linen, the bodice finished with Irish crochet lace, blpck silk scarf, hat triinmed with mauve roses and foliage; Mrs. Armstrong, black and. ■white voile, white boa, black and pink
bonnet; Mrs. Levin, blue coat and burnt straw hat, with wreath of small pink roses; Mrs. Tripe, Mack coat and skirt; burnt straw hat with black silk bands; Miss Fitzherbert (New Plymouth), dark green coat and skirt, green
kat; Miss Porter, cream serge Russian coat and skirt, eream hat with roses; Miss Helen Porter, grey coat and skirt, bites* k hat; Mias Hell, white*, mnsljn, large hat with forget-me-nots and foliage; Miss G.
