May 20. Bridge. Last Thursday Mrs. John Anderson gave a small bridge party as a farewell to Miss Reichert, who left Wanganui on Saturday with Miss Richmond for Auckland; from there they sail for Germany, ami expect to be back again in Wanganui in about a year’s time. At the Theatre. There have been large audiences u. Hayward’s Pictures at the Lyceum Theatre recently. Amongst those present: Mrs. 11. Peake, Mr. and Mrs. Brookfield, Mrs. Anderson, Mr. ami Miss Mason, Mrs. Janisch, Mr. and Mrs. Payne. Miss Gwen, Mr. and Mrs. Izard. Miss Moore x Miss Stevenson, Miss Brettargh, Mr. Chamberlain, Mr. Martin, and many others. A Successful Exhibition. Mr. Butterworth, of Wanganui, is staying in Wellington.
Mr. and Mrs. Colin Campbell, of Wanganui, have been spending a few days in the Empire City, Miss O’Brien, of Wanganui, has returned from her trip to Wellington.
Sirs. Janisidi, of America, who lias been the guest of her sister (Mrs. John Mason) for some weeks, has returned to Auckland.
