SOUTH TARANAKI.
May 20. Things have been very quiet after the races, and there has been nothing to chronicle this week. Owing to Friday being the dlay of mourning for the late King, the dance which was to have been held at Patea tonight was postponed until Tuesday. Personal. Miss Coutts has returned to Onehunga after spending some weeks with her people.
])r. Mac Gibbon lias disposed of his practice in llawera to Dr. Thomson. Dr. Mac Gibbon leaves for Kngland next Wednesday. Mrs Mac Gibbon and the children are going to Dunedin until his return. Tbev will be very much missed.
Messrs S. Ilonahkson and I*. King, who have been spending a short holiday here, have returned to Wellington.
Miss Stevens, of Palmerston, is the guest of Mrs Stringer. Aliss Brewer (Waverley) is paying a Visit to her brother in Ilawera.
Aliss Mac Gibbon (Dunedin) is staying with Dr. Mac Gibbon. ISIr H. T. Lysaglit has returned home
from Wanganui.
