FEILDING.
October 16. A Dance. On Friday, Bth October, the last of a series of Cinderella dances was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, which was prettily decorated for the occasion. Amongst those present were: Miss Long, pretty mauve soft silk; Miss Kitchen, blue silk; Miss Wyatt, light blue silk trimmed with a darker shade; Miss E. Sandilands, blue glace silk, Empire dress; Miss Levett, blue silk taffeta; Miss Luxmore, apricot coloured silk; Miss Malfroy, cream taffeta Empire dress; Miss Walker, cream satin; Miss Prior, a pretty floral silk dress; Miss Lodder (Wellington), pretty embroidered muslin frock; Miss Mcßeth, white satin; Miss Shannon, blue satin Empire <lress trimmed with (beautiful Maltese lace; Mrs. Glasgow, heliotrope silk with laee overdress; Mrs. Long, black satin; Mrs. Hill, black silk; Miss L. Haybittie, pink chiffon over pink taffeta; Miss Havbittle, blue silk; Miss V. Haybittie, white silk; Miss Walpole, black satin, red flowers; Mrs. Wheeler, blaek silk; Miss Blaekmoore, red velvet; Mrs. Beedie. white satin with silver trimmings; Miss Ray. white crepe de chine. Messrs. Glasgow. Shannon (2), Hill, Francis, Wheeler, Richardson, Sandilands, Mason, Wheelan, Barton, Carr, Moore, Kennv, Banks. Caiman, Graham, Ongley, Bailey, Dr. Beedie.
Personal. Miss Malfroy has returnee to her home in Hokitika. Miss Lodder (Wellington) has been the guest of Mrs. Shannon, “The Totaras.” Mrs. Webster is the guest of Mrs. Aylmer. Mr. and Mrs. H. Atkinson are having a short ■ holiday in Wellington.
